POSITION SUMMARY:

The Pay Parking Operations Supervisor will follow all Winter Park policies and procedures, all applicable laws (federal, state, and local), and all health and sanitation codes.

The Pay Parking Operations Supervisor manages the WPR pay parking operation in the Village Garage, Moffat, overflow and the Vintage Lots and access control operations at the Parking Services Hut. Is responsible for collection of fees, processing, reconciliation and reporting of daily revenues. ($1,000,000+ annually) Is responsible for enforcement of fee policies including identification of illegally parked vehicles, issuance of citations and daily reporting of violators to our designated collection agency. Is responsible for operation and maintenance of all pay parking and gate equipment. The Pay Parking Operations Supervisor is responsible for controlling all access to the core village, lodging, WPR administrative offices, F&B loading dock, NSCD, and the Medical Clinic.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Interview, hire, train, supervise, discipline and schedule work of a 4-6 person crew performing pay parking operations duties.

  • Provide technical assistance and work direction to all support staff.

  • Manage opening and closing procedures including snow removal around all pay stations and Traffic Hut and signage.

  • Control of vehicle access into lodging check-in, reserved, visitor, Village Garage, pay overflow, short term, disabled and clinic parking. Control access of deliveries, shuttles, emergency vehicles and construction vehicles. Includes issuance of daily and temporary parking permits and codes for no charge use of pay parking spaces.

  • Daily enforcement of pay parking fees with the Genetec License Recognition system, OmniPark citation issuance and daily violation reporting to identified collection agency.

  • Collection of parking fees for Level 4, Moffat and Overflow parking through RTP. Collect all cash revenue from pay stations. Reconcile and prepare daily deposit report and deposit cash daily

  • Organize, maintain and reconcile various financial and usage reports. Maintain records.

  • Monitor SkiData gates & T2 pay station equipment in the parking garage and Vintage lots. Manage pre- maintenance program, trouble shooting and repairs.

  • Monitor and operate, Genetec License Recognition System equipment and software, OmniPark citation computer and printer.

  • Schedule service vendors for all equipment for annual and as needed maintenance/repairs. Order parts as needed including a spare part inventory.

  • Assist guests and employees with directions and information in a friendly, professional manner. Effectively handle first-line conflicts and resolve problems.

  • Prepare and distribute HOA and Lodging access and parking information and access codes as needed.

  • Manage pay parking season pass sales.

  • Assist in regular parking operations as needed.

  • Advise Supervisor regarding problems, safety issues equipment deficiencies, signage requirements, etc.

  • Public and employee safety:

  • Be alert for potential hazards involving vehicles, pedestrians, and equipment. Take responsible action to prevent accidents.

  • Report and/or correct any unsafe conditions.

  • Assist with vehicle, public, and employee accidents as required. Follow accident reporting procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • High School Diploma required. Associate or advanced degree with some general accounting course work preferred.

Experience:

  • At least one year of management, operation and maintenance of pay parking fee collection and control equipment and parking lot operation experience.

  • Cash handling

  • Minimum of one year in a supervisory role.

  • Two or more years working with the public in a high stress environment.

  • Familiarity with Winter Park Resort and surrounding services; town and valley desirable.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License; clean MVR required.

  • Background check required; no criminal record

  • Competence in the operation of point of sale software and other software applications, computers, calculator, copier, scanner, hand held radios

  • Mechanical skills in troubleshooting and repairing pay station and gate equipment

  • Ability to communicate effectively; verbal and written. Must speak English fluently.

  • Ability to maintain records, prepare accurate reports and make accurate mathematical computations.

  • Ability to direct the work of others; train, coach and manage performance.

  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement and to act with discretion under varying conditions.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, employees, Homeowners, Property Management personnel, Commercial Tenants, NSCD participants, Pay parking season pass holders, Resort staff and departments, Service vendors, local law enforcement and TOWP maintenance.

  • Ability to work a flexible work week and be available for overtime as needed.
