Join our global teamof 4,000+ professionals!Position Summary:The Environmental Engineer manages all aspects of multimedia environmentalpermitting and compliance including continuous improvement for the CarestreamManufacturing operation in Windsor, Colorado. Acts as site liaison withlocal, state, and federal regulatory agencies. Manages and responds tointernal and external audits, including the facilitation of the correctiveand preventative actions. Informs management of regulatory changes and theimpact on the operations.Responsibilities: Perform activities required to maintain compliance with environmentalregulations in an industrial manufacturing facility. This includes, but isnot limited to, local, state, and federal regulation interpretation,data tracking, reporting, permitting, testing, and training Participate in external compliance audits Act as site liaison with regulatory agencies Manage and/or co-manage the following environmental programs: o Air (CAA Title V, MACT, GHG, Refrigerants) o EPCRA (Tier II, TRI) o Waste (RCRA, Solid Waste, DOT) o Water / Wastewater (CWA, SPCC, Wastewater treatment) o Spill response o TSCA o FIFRA o Sustainability Use the ISO 14001 program to develop sustainable environmental complianceprograms, policies, and procedures. Participate in and support ISO 14001program training, external and internal audits, and correctingnon-conformances Support reporting environmental performance and compliance data toCorporate offices Conduct situation appraisals, gap analyses, analyze data, andidentify potential improvement opportunities in areas of responsibility Support the development of and implement plant environmental Business Planthemes related to environmental compliance Support and train the department environmental representatives oncompliance related issues Inform Management of environmental issues/concerns Other duties as assigned to support the general purpose of theposition's functionRequired Education: BS degree Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering PreferredMinimum Years of Experience: 8 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing facilityDesired Experience: Strong knowledge of federal and Colorado environmental regulations,including major source air pollution permitting, EPCRA, solid andhazardous waste, industrial wastewater, storm water Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard, managementsystem auditing, and compliance auditing. Ability to apply problem solving tools and methodology to a variety ofmanufacturing and business process issues. Prefer Registered Environmental Manager Application of Continuous Improvement Methodology and Root Cause Analysis Act as Cultural "Change Agent" Act as a leader Ability to lead by influencing.
