Our Denver office works on asbestos projects that are always uniqueand no two days ever seem to be the same. In this position you will performtests and sampling of environmental materials including air, groundwater,noise, asbestos and other hazardous materials. You will operate andmaintain field monitoring equipment, including remediation systems. Youwill assist with asbestos, lead paint and hazardous materials surveys,abatement design and oversight projects and Phase I preliminary siteassessments, and you may be tasked to transport material samples ordocuments to the lab for further testing and analysis. In this position youwill tabulate and prepare data for written reports. We share your vision.Essential Role and Responsibilities:Performs standardized and sometimes complex field tests as directed and/orspecial inspections as required.Calibrate field monitoring equipment such as PID or combustible gas indicator.Sample suspect asbestos-containing building materials in accordance with AHERAguidelines.Assist with installation and maintenance of remediation systems.Assist drill crews in obtaining soil and groundwater samples.Perform oversight and air monitoring during asbestos abatement projects.Conduct monitoring well sampling.Under the direction of a staff professional, performs complex field tasks.Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participatein pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience or the equivalent in training andrelated experience.Certification in field of expertise required. Examples include:Asbestos InspectorAsbestos Air-Monitoring SpecialistLead InspectorMold TechnicianValid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
