This position will work Monday thru Thursday from 2:00pm - 12:00am.The Manufacturing Technician will ensure the timely completion of complexenvironmental control system assemblies for shipment to customers. The idealcandidate will be mechanically inclined with strong relevant manufacturingexperience using drills, saws, and other light duty equipment with theability to read engineering drawings. A successful technician will be a teamplayer, with an understanding of the importance of quality, safety, andurgency. The senior technician will also lead and train junior/newtechnicians within the team.Duties and Responsibilities:70% Production and Assemblyo Riveting, plastics trimming, forming, foam insulation, epoxies,soldering, electronics, and match drillingo Review manufacturing order for part number and revision and due date forcompletion.o Access approved drawings on shared network that correlates withmanufacturing order to complete.o Routinely use hand tools including pneumatic and electric drills,screwdrivers, wrenches, calipers, rivet guns, clamps, hammers, and wire crimpero Complete documentation as needed during the assembly and after assembly isfinished.o Performs quality checks as required to ensure adherence to quality standardso Perform acceptance testing on completed buildso Work collaboratively with Engineering personnel to improve assemblieso Ensures the appropriate personal protective equipment is utilized and safetyprecautions are followedo Work in a clean environment to prevent FOD (Foreign Object Damage)o Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to write or revise workinstructions20% Training and Mentoringo Delegate work to junior assemblers.o Routinely mentor and assist junior assemblers with manufacturing buildso Train new staff on work procedures and processes10% Other duties as assignedAir Comm Corporation (ACC) is a privately held company founded in 1987 tomeet the needs of helicopter operators seeking solutions to problems commonlyfound in factory-installed environmental control systems.
