Senior Electrical Project Engineer – Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead - Current TS/SCI Clearance Required

The Senior Electrical IPT leader provides technical, cost, and schedule direction for a team of Electrical Systems, Electrical Design, Mechanical Packaging, Parts & Reliability, Radiation, and Production Engineers, as well as interface with support teams, functional management, program management, customers, and business development in the design, fabrication, test, and integration of space-based electronics subsystems for cutting-edge bus and instrument programs.
What You’ll Do:
•Lead cross functional electrical engineering teams responsible for system architecture through detail circuit development of space-based, high reliability electronic systems for general analog and power supply electronics and/or avionics systems.
•Responsible for electrical system cost, schedule, and technical scope along with driving critical risk-based decisions throughout program life-cycle.
•Interface with payload or spacecraft IPT leads, system engineers, and program management to provide alternatives to requirements that drive system cost and schedule.
•Provide and communicate insight and understanding of both the technical and programmatic aspects of project to the customer community and project team.
•Interface with functional management to ensure staffing needs are identified and filled in a timely manner.
•May manage complex electronics development and productions subcontracts.
•Support new business proposal opportunities.
•Deliver high reliability electronics for NASA, DoD, NOAA, other government customers.
•Interface with support disciplines –system assurance, quality assurance, test engineering, and production.
•Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
•Establish and maintain effective working relationships within Engineering, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
•Perform other duties as necessary.
What You’ll Need:
•BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 16 or more years of related experience.
•Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
•Hands-on experience with “flight space qualified” analog, digital, and/or mixed signal electronics design, fabrication, and test in radiation intense environments
•Experience with EEE parts for space flight applications and understanding of associated screening and qualification processes.
•Successful track record (cost, schedule, performance) leading and providing technical guidance to cross-functional space-based electronics teams from proposal through delivery.
•Strong working knowledge of project management tools and practices, including developing and controlling program schedules and budgets, risk & opportunity management, scope change management, resource management, and subcontract program management preferably for US government customers.
•Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written communication skills, oral presentation skills, conflict management skills, and an ability to lead group discussions.
•TS/SCI security clearance required.
•Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
•May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
•May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
•Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
Verification that your current security clearance or government customer access meets the requirement for this position will be required.

Compensation & Benefits
HIRING SALARY RANGE : $159,000 - $200,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
