Please review the job details below.Maxar is currently seeking an RandD Scientist to join our Research andDevelopment team in Westminster, CO. In this role, you will help us buildstate-of-the-art image processing, computer vision, and machine learningalgorithms to harness the content of our massive petabyte scale imageryarchive. We work on a wide variety of topics ranging from deep learning tomassive cloud-enabled image processing applications with the goal of helpingto understand our changing planet.ResponsibilitiesAct as technical lead for preliminary and advanced design studies and prepareportions of engineering and RandD proposals.Generate and prototype algorithms and techniques to enhance and automateproduction processes.Represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technicalproblems associated with specific projects.Engage in business development, including briefing customers on companycapabilities.Minimum QualificationsU.S. citizen or permanent residentAdvanced degree in Computer Vision, Engineering, Mathematics, or relatedfield. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.Minimum of 2 years of professional experience with a proven background indesigning and implementing complex algorithms2+ years of software coding experience (Python or C++ preferred)Preferred QualificationsIntermediate to advanced deep learning experiencePhD degree in computer vision, engineering or mathematics or related fieldKnowledge and use of machine learningExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience building applications in AWSMAXAR Technologies values diversity in the workplace and is an equalopportunity/affirmative action employer.
