Sound interesting?We're always looking for the best and brightest to join our ranks and sharethePrimary Purpose:Independently, provide skilled technical support to research and developmentengineers in designing, testing, modifying, fabricating and assemblingadvanced RF systems. Work independently and/or support engineers to developand execute test strategies that verifies board and unit functionality, andvalidates unit integration and product specifications.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform tests, collect data, and participate in the iterative productdevelopment process with other technicians, design engineers, or teamleaders to achieve customer specificationsInterface with management and design engineers to modify and optimize productsto meet design customer requirementsUse output from simulation software to build proof of concept products fordesignersAssist development and manufacturing teams troubleshoot potential problemsMay be required to find performance outages and make design improvementrecommendationsHelp prepare procedures and documentation necessary to launch new products tomanufacturingTravel to other LGS Locations or Customer Sites as necessaryUnderstand and adhere to all LGS Ethical and Compliance policiesProactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to LGS EH&S policiesand proceduresPerform other duties as requiredIf required, obtain/retain a government security clearance at the levelrequired to perform the duties of the positionSkills and Knowledge:Experience debugging advance RF systems from 400MHz to 8 GHz usingoscilloscopes, RF power meters, network analyzers and spectrum analyzersExperience developing new concept builds, performing tests, andtroubleshooting do to component levelExperience soldering board and cable assembliesWorking knowledge of SPC/DOE/FMEA methodologiesExperience working in a Scaled Agile Framework environmentSolid communication skills of technical mattersWorking knowledge of Microsoft software applications and other softwareapplications as requiredAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentWorking Conditions:Work is typically performed in a manufacturing/lab environment whichrequires proper safety precautions. Work may require some physical effort inthe handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.Minimum QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience:Associate's degree in Electrical or Electronic Sciences and 6-8 years ofrelated experience or an equivalent combination of education, skills andexperiencePreferred QualificationsAdditional Desired Skills:Working knowledge of network and spectrum analyzers is desirable as well asknowledge of wireless technologies including mobile communications, wi-fi,broadband wireless, Wimax, etc.RF/Microwave knowledge and experience with interpreting RF modeling outputsfrom toolsLGS StatementLGS Innovations delivers mission-critical communications products, R&D,and supporting services to U.S. defense, intelligence, and civilianagencies and commercial customers around the world.
