Trimble Autonomous Solutionsare at the forefront of off-highway vehicle guidance, implement control,obstacle detection, and optimal path planning.Position Overview:In this highly visible leadership role you will work with multiple divisionsacross Trimble to develop and enforce corporate policy and procedures inaccordance with functional safety ISO norms (eg ISO 25119, ISO 262626,ISO 13849, ISO 19014, ISO 18497). You will act as an advisor to thedivisions as they begin developing new products and assist with gap analysisand approvals on products prior to launch.Responsibilities:Define the functional safety policy and procedures that will apply acrossmultiple divisionsAssist multiple divisions to understand and embed these policies within theirproduct delivery organizationInternal certification of Trimble products and auditing of products when wechoose to use third party certification companiesReview and approve technical work products, e.g. hazard and riskassessment, functional safety concept, technical safety requirements,FTAs, FMEAs, FMEDAs, and test case specifications for safety requirementsCreate and deploy training programs across the company for Functional SafetyEnsure all required safety standards (including ISO 25119, 26262 and 19014standards) are being adhered to throughout the development life cycle andappropriate artifacts are being generatedRecruit and manage central Functional Safety team to support and drive thepolicies described hereActively shape and maintain the functional safety cultureLiaison with certification bodies such as TUV Sud, TUV Nord, TUVRheinland, etc.Ensure representation by Trimble on industry standardization committees(i.e. ISO)Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or ComputerEngineering preferred)Hands-on functional safety experienceStrong communications skills and cross-functional team experienceAbility to travel up to 10% (interoffice visits, supplier visits, etc.)Preferred Skills:10+ years of engineering product development experience5+ years of specific experience in releasing functional safety documentation(development and assessment)Certified Functional Safety ProfessionalExperience using Requirements Management Systems such as DOORS or PolarionExperience developing and delivering embedded system hardware and/or softwareExperience communicating and working in matrixed team environmentsInformation to Review:The following links are recommended in order to better your understanding ofTrimble, and the products available within this particular division.Videos to Review:Our CompanyTrimble is an exciting, entrepreneurial company, with a history ofexceptional growth coupled with a disciplined and strategic focus on being thebest.
