Direct reports could includedevelopment engineers and senior development engineers.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide quality support (IE, HHED, CAPA; complaint review; auditresponses; print changes; first article approvals for changes; DHFupdates) Provide manufacturing support (support of transfers; costsaving initiatives; supply disruptions; scrap reduction) Provideregulatory support (CE renewals, global registrations, standardsreviews, etc.; post market surveillance; UDI change support) ProvideSpine business support (research product issues; small lineextensions/improvements; marketing collateral update review;rationalization of low selling products) Provide remediation support In amanagerial role, plan and review work assignments for staff; and coach anddeveExpected Areas of CompetenceAdvanced knowledge of drafting standards and geometric dimensioning andtolerancing Knowledge of the new product development and regulatory processesAbility to analyze and develop new testing criteria and requirements Knowledgeof Quality Management Systems, design controls, and risk management formedical devices Establishes a process method which meets performance andquality requirements Demonstrated ability to lead and influence all parts ofthe organization Microsoft Office Suite and Project; demonstrated ability tolearn and apply multiple skill sets Demonstrates ownership of and ability tolead projects with a broad scope and high level of complexity and able toprioritize and complete work in a timely manner and within budget Ability toeffectively lead an engineering teamEducation/Experience RequirementsB.S. degree from an ABET accredited school (or global equivalent) in anengineering or science discipline, as preferred by the specificdepartment, plus seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience required.Travel RequirementsUp to 20%Additional InformationEOE M/W/Vet/Disability As a Zimmer Biomet team member, you will sharein our commitment to providing mobility and renewed life to people around theworld.
