CommScope, Inc. Systems Engineer in Virtual, Colorado
Ruckus Networks, is seeking a Systems Engineer (SE) for the Rocky Mountain sales territory. Primary territory will be Colorado and Wyoming. The SE will be responsible for both the Customer and Partner communities in this territory as part of a team consisting of an Outside sales partner, as well as inside sales and SE resources. Primary responsibilities will focus on Ruckus Product Solutions sales and partner development/enablement for Ruckus channel partners as well as customer opportunities.
The candidate will focus on channel partner development and responsibilities for selected accounts in assigned territory. The position of Systems Engineer will perform technical demos, proof of concept trials, training, provide best practice design input and review, solution focused selling and positioning to C-level and below staff, and deliver presentations for customers, partners, prospects and events.
The candidate will also assist with the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities. Additionally, requirements include developing relationships with customers, vendors, partners and corporate service and support organizations to manage successful network implementations that allow customers to gain competitive advantage through use of our technology. The position requires careful planning, organization and directing the activities of a variety of corporate and non-sales support groups to ensure the finalization of customer system needs.
The position requires continuous self-development with regards to fast-paced and changing technology to ensure state-of-the-art readiness to apply diverse solutions to customer’s networking requirements. Requires ability to be self-perpetuating in knowledge of advancing technologies. Develop an infrastructure that creates an environment for channel partner development and builds a closer SE/channel partner relationship at all account levels. Focus on customer needs and solutions that help solve their problems. Driven to grow customer satisfaction. Ability to handle medium/large accounts, including ability to designate appropriate SE resources to enable continual growth of the business. Must have excellent skills in critical account management.
Knowledge and experience of SE technical skills; specifically, 802.11 a/g/n/ac/ax, 3GPP & LTE (a plus) wireless design and assessment, wireless troubleshooting, wireless network optimization, IP routing and switching WAN/LAN design, configuration, troubleshooting, Layer 4-7 application services, security authentication methods and products, RADIUS, AD, Virtualization environments/deployments, VM installations, (any of VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V, GCE, Azure, AWS), etc.
Knowledge of the following areas of specialization: VLAN; Security; VoIP; QoS wired/wireless; BYOD/MDM; PtP; Mesh; Wireless Controller Architectures; Wi-Fi protocols and transmission, RF engineering, Indoor and Outdoor wireless deployments; Packet Capture/Analysis Tools; WLAN Security in the areas of Authentication, Encryption, RADIUS/AAA, EAP/PSK, and Active Directory; RF polarization and Antenna signal propagation behavior.
Advanced networking skills and experience: Network Architecture planning, Virtualization knowledge and experience with VM deployments, manageability with a preference of VMWare and KVM Cloud deployment and/or operating experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of relevant solutions sets, product line specifications, performance criteria and applications. Thorough competitive knowledge including solutions, technology and product offerings. Understand and be conversant about company, its solutions, and product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Solid knowledge and experience of customer management practices. In-depth understanding and experience in management of all aspects of sales support processes. Good communication skills to assist at the Customer Management Interface level, including negotiating and creating presentations on solutions/requirements.

Certifications: CWNA or equivalent experience, hands on knowledge working with Wi-Fi and switching vendor solutions (Ruckus, Brocade, Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Aerohive, Xirrus, Extreme, Dell, etc.), similar technology or brand certifications in the areas of WAN/LAN switch/route, Security, and Virtualization is preferred.
