Colarelli Construction Residential Construction Superintendent in Salida, Colorado
We have an immediate opening for an experienced Construction Superintendent for a small selective custom home builder located in Colorado Springs and the surrounding communities. The successful candidate will have a varied experience in residential building and remodels. Must be a good fit within the company. Drive, organization, problem solving, willingness to manage multiple unique projects are essential qualities. Initially we are looking for a superintendent that can manage a large project near Salida with weekly housing included.
Compensation will be in line with the experience.
Below is a representative but not exhaustive list of responsibilities and requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversee all phases of building construction from initial planning to completion
Manage daily operations for multiple projects, trades and job site personal
Conform to company policy and reporting requirements.
Must demonstrate understanding of site logistics, planning, site safety and construction operations.
Proficient at reading and comprehending construction plans, specification, contracts, purchase agreements and project scope
Prepare and maintain CPM schedule, provide weekly updated schedules
Maintain material deliverable schedule
Maintain and track productivity and work interfaces
Complete and maintain proper documentation accurately and timely including daily reports, photos, as-builts, etc.
Participate in coordination meetings with all subs, owners, architects and consultants as needed
Review construction documents for completeness and constructability
Identify plan and spec discrepancies with project design team
Responsible for the safety of the site and all workers as well as overall quality of project
Responsible for assisting in developing and managing general budgets as well as overall project costs
Responsible for assisting in developing and expanding qualified trade and supplier resources
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a residential superintendent or well qualified assistant superintendent
Knowledge of all aspects of construction technology, equipment, and methods; trade agreements, jurisdiction and negotiations; engineering, cost control, schedules and safety
Excellent communication, organization, and supervisory skills essential
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw solid conclusions
OSHA training desirable
