The Welding Engineer assists in the development of newand/or improved rail welding techniques and processes for Evraz-Pueblo whichinclude thermite, flash-butt as well as weld HAZ treatment processes. Thisposition also assists in the development of new and/or improved products andprocesses for Evraz Pueblo.Responsibilities:* Performance of product and process trials for current rail products as wellas future generations* Collaboration with Evraz rail customers, weld suppliers, and engineeringspecialists in the optimization of rail welding and treatment processes* Provide metallurgical expertise and contribute to ongoing and future longproduct development efforts* Lead and/or conduct laboratory testing for Product Technology* Develop mechanical/metallographic test protocols for development materialand/or commercial grades of rail, rod and seamless tubing as needed* Perform tests for more technically demanding evaluations* Operate scanning electron microscope (SEM) and interpret resultsJob RequirementsRequirements:* B.S.
