Evraz Rocky Mountain Steel Roll Shop Supervisor in Pueblo, Colorado
POSITION: Roll Shop SupervisorDUTIES: As a Roll Shop Supervisor you will be responsible for managing andmaintaining all rolls and tooling required to support day-to-day manufacturingfor operations in a Seamless Pipe mill, Rail mill, or Rod andBar mill.* Manage, organize, and inventory mill parts and tooling. Work directlywith CNC Roll Turners, Mill Rollers, and Production Engineers toprioritize fabrication, machining, trials, and ordering of rolls andmill tooling* Maintain necessary inventory of shop supplies, interface with storehouseand vendors as needed for resupply and trials* Schedule and maintain shift manpower for mill operations and training* Maintain KRONOS Pay System by reviewing, editing, and approvingemployee time cards daily* Perform daily shop safety inspections, coordinate with maintenance groupto design and implement countermeasures* Conduct shift safety meetings, train employees on safe work practices,and conduct daily safe job observations* Conduct daily toolbox talks with mill operators* Use LEAN tools from the EVRAZ Business System engage employees tocontinuously improve mill operations* Responsible for managing a team of individuals during machining andmaintenance operations* Conduct performance evaluations for probationary employees* Use quality standards to evaluate roll and tooling conformance to print* Maintain and improve department 6S - daily management* Manage department scrap processing with vendors and purchasing department* Maintain and correct electronic and written records including; rollperformance and Oracle records* Maintain a good working knowledge of the collective bargaining agreementsand applicable company policies* Write and issue Improvement Action Reports (IARs) as needed per companypolicy.* Process and document grievances as the first step in the grievanceresolution processREQUIREMENTS:* High School Diploma required* 3-5 years of leadership experience in a large continuous manufacturingenvironmentOTHER REQUIREMENTS:* Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word* Knowledgeable in LEAN business concepts and practices highly desirable* A good understanding of drawings and engineering principles preferred* Strong time management skills* Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment* Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills* Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skill, and safety-focusedPREFERRED SKILLS:* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or a related technical fieldpreferred* Familiarity with CNC machine an asset*All applicants must be legally able to work in the USA without sponsorship.WAGE: $71,800 - $90,000/ AnnuallySHIFTS: Discuss with EmployerJOB SITE: Pueblo CoBENEFITS: Full company benefit package to include medical, dental, vision,defined pension plan, profit sharing, and 401K matching.APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: If you meet the minimum requirements for thisposition, please click on How to Apply' to view application information.You must be registered with Connecting Colorado to view the applicationinformation (registration is available at no cost).
