The Melting Supervisor is responsible for leading andmotivating personnel toward higher levels of safety, environmentalcleanliness, quality, and production through strict adherence of the EvrazBusiness Plan and core values.* Directly, responsible for supervising and motivating a team of ElectricFurnace and Casting personnel in the production of various sizes and grades ofrounds from the Demag Caster.* Communicates and supports a safe and positive working environment for allpersonnel* Ensures that all employees are working safely and following all the companypolicies, procedures, and practices* Assists with the operations and flow of the Melt Shop in all areas,including the Furnace, LRF and VTD* Delivers appropriate training in the development of competent and amotivated and cross-trained workforce* Provides daily update reports and operational progress to management* Participates in the development and implementation of safety, quality andcost improvement activities focused on achieving the Business Plan and AIPsJob Requirements* Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience* Minimum 5 years' experience in steelmaking; Metallurgy preferred* Ability to work in a team environment with proven interpersonal skills* Strong leadership and managerial skills* Strong problem-solving and proven decision-making skills* Proven written and verbal communication skills* Good organizational and time management skills* Ability to multitask* Highly motivated and a self-starter* Ability to interact with all levels of our organization* Proficient in Excel, Word, and Oracle* Strong mechanical aptitude* Experience in the management of 6S projectsAll applicants must be legally able to work in the USA without sponsorship.EVRAZ is an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Females, Individualswith Disabilities, and Veterans.While we thank all those who apply, only those being actively considered foremployment will be contacted.At EVRAZ North America, we manufacture steel.
