We challenge and empower you to make most ofyour talents, working with outstanding colleagues from diverse backgroundswho share your drive and passion to make Jabil grow!Under direct supervision, responsible for Setup and operate manufacturingequipment in assigned area, Type of operation can be but not limited tocutting, drilling, milling, bending, deburring, chemicalfinishing, laser etching, assembly etc. for Jabil manufactured assemblies.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties maybe assigned.Perform routine equipment set-up, operation, and adjustment.Coordinate with other team members to set up machines according to set-upsheets.Ensure board loader and feeders are continually kept loaded with the correctparts, and prepares for next part run by loading feeders for next run beforeneeded.Maintain orderly work area by tubing fallout parts, and cleaning area andmachines as needed.Monitor machine rejects to assure that parts are being sorted and ran on adaily basis.Maintain necessary documentation.May perform basic quality auditing, testing, and troubleshooting functions.Ensure that assigned area is clean and organized.Work direction may additionally be communicated verbally through visual aidsand set-up sheets.Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with thisposition and as directed by supervisor.Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.Use of various types of measuring instruments including numerous types ofgages, micrometers, calipers, comparators, PH meters, conductivitymeters, etc.Type of equipment can be but not limited to CNC or manual lathe, mills,grinders, finishing, and packaging equipment etcCompletion of documentation as required by the process, inspection sheetsand work instructionsPerform preventive maintenance and 5S related tasks as it pertains to theassigned area including but not limited to maintaining coolant levels,emptying chip containers, etc.Follow appropriate safety practices in order to prevent accidents to self orothersFollow all laws and policies as they apply to one's job and to maintain thehighest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all timesParticipate in and understand all compliance related activities pertaining tothe job assignmentLearn and understand lean initiatives (i.e. 5S, etc.).Must be able to engage with others in a positive and constructive manner thatis conducive to good teamwork in a production environmentLearn and retain process requirements and metrics in assigned area to meetsafety, quality, compliance and production goals as well as trainingrequirementsWork during assigned shift schedule and meet associated attendancerequirements to work extra hours when required by business needsDemonstrate consistency in resultsFollow process sheets, perform first piece inspections and in processquality checksTrain other employees up to your competency levelMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBasic written and verbal communication and basic computer skillsGeneral math skillsEDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSHigh School diploma or equivalentPrevious industrial or manufacturing experience in regulated industrypreferred0-2 years related experienceJabil, including its subsidiaries, is an equal opportunity employer andconsiders qualified applicants for employment without regard to race,color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, genderidentify, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, orany other characteristic protected by law.Jabil, inc
