We share common desires with thesebrands: to make the world a better, safer and cleaner place.OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIESProvides technical support of activities related to the improvement anddevelopment of current and new processes including process cost evaluation,quality and capability alternatives analyses, and process characterization.Provides direction and supports the needs of manufacturing areas across thesite to meet the requirements for quality standards, compliantdocumentation, capacity, product availability and cost.Mentors and teaches engineering staff.ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs difficult repairs and troubleshoots down equipment independently.Takes leadershipin repairs and troubleshooting.Approaches job duties with a sense of pride, ownership, and urgency.Provides day to day support and direction to production such as, but notlimited to turning, milling, drilling, EDM, finishing, packagingetc. as required.Identifies and assists in process improvements for existing manufacturingprocesses utilizing appropriate engineering principles and standard strategiesas e.g. Lean and Six Sigma principles.Assists in gage design, measurement system analysis, and gageimplementation as required.Is able touse various types of measuringinstruments including, micrometers, calipers, comparators, tensiletesters, coordinate measurement systems etc. to support engineering testing.Develops fixtures and designs tools andhas the ability toexpress and implementideas with tool designers.Understands existing processes, tooling setup and machine programsin ordertoexecute tasks associated with process validation (InstallationQualification, Operation Qualification, Performance Qualification,Computer Software Validation and Test Method Validation) and engineeringstudieSupports tasks related to new equipment acquisition efforts including userrequirement specifications, machine selection, installation,validation, employee training, and other related equipmentresponsibilities as required.Checks complex layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformityto standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculationsand dimensions.Writes protocols and reports.Participates in engineering projects including planning and completingassigned tasks on-time and with high quality.Participates in designed experiments and capability studies as supportstaff, collects and maintains documents, and records process specifications.Is responsible for programming, set-up and debugging of complex equipment ormeasuring instruments.Collects process documentation,preparesand delivers training on processes,materials, and equipment.Supports and performs preventive maintenance and 5S related tasks.Assists in the development of manufacturing and inspection procedures.Participates in cross-functional teams which may include, but are notlimited to Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance,Finance, Product Development and personnel from other sites.Assures adherence to all company safety policies and procedures and othersafety precautions within the work area.Acts as a model for the operators in terms of attitude, running machines,following processes and decision making.Performs other related duties, as required.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Associates degree, preferred. Equivalent certifications may be considered.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:4-6 years of experience in manufacturing and/or engineering is required.Experience with CNC,packaging,andLaser processes, and equipment andrelated programming software is required.Previous experience working in a regulated
