Coil Tubing Supervisor

Summary: The primary role of the coiled tubing supervisor is to manage the in-field coiled tubing operations, and ensure personnel safety and equipment functionality on job locations.


  • Enforce all workplace safety, environmental and national safety code policies and regulations.

  • Ensure all necessary equipment and personnel are assigned and ready for mobilization.

  • Confirm all quantities, fluids types, additives, and mixing processes meet customer and program requirements.

  • Ensure all documentation and inspections are completed prior to commencing operations.

  • Assist in the evaluation and training of operators under his/her supervision and across the company.



  • Able to operate all pumps, nitrogen (N2) equipment, coiled tubing (CT) units, cranes, and any ancillary equipment used in CT operations.

  • Working knowledge of specific coiled tubing equipment, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and DOT hours of service regulations (FMCSA).

  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple activities under tight deadline schedules.

  • Able to effectively build relationships with customers and colleagues in a professional manner.

  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written form.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software products (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Must be able to accept responsibility and accountability for employees under his/her supervision

  • Strong technical and practical knowledge of operations, production, company policies, and government regulations Excellent supervisory skills, to include motivation, coaching, training, and delegation.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience with coiled tubing.


  • Relevant certifications are a plus but not required.


  • The coiled tubing supervisor will work in the office or on the job location. Must be able to travel to job locations and be onsite for multiple days at a time.
