This role focuseson sales and customer support covering the applications for our PowerGeneration and Protective Relay products, with the ultimate goal of growingrevenues and expanding our customers and scope.This role requires knowledge and experience with power systems,generation, switchgear and/or protection relays. Experience with Woodwardor competitor products (e.g., DEIF, SEL-Schweitzer, DSE) in theseareas is required, as well as experience in field trouble shooting,customer support, and system design.Woodward is a multinational company, headquartered in Fort Collins, CO.As part of an international company, collaboration with and support to theengineering team in Germany is included. Our industrial related systems andcomponents enhance the performance of industrial gas and steam turbines,reciprocating engines, compressors, wind turbines, renewable energyintegration, microgrids and other energy related industrial equipment.Position Purpose:This position will provide technical support to ensure customer satisfactionand sales revenue growth related to power management and distribution productsand/or our protection relays. You will be the product expert, helping tospecify, apply, and support our products, and will also participate inthe development and modification of existing products, in support ofcustomer and market requirements. The team consists of a sales manager,customer account managers, and sales support/application engineers withthe focus on the North American market. The role reports to the Sales Manager.Essential Functions:Provide technical support for the commercial team in customer engagement,proposal creation, solution concept and design, and customer presentations.Assist customers and Customer Service group to resolve technical productissues, including troubleshooting with the customer and interfacing withproduct development team.Participate in international and multi-site projects and work withinternational account teams.Identify product improvements to address customer needs, deliver feedback todevelopment and Product Line Manager to support product improvement and thedevelopment of Product Roadmaps.Provide technical product training to customers, account managers andchannel partners.Provide product and market information to account managers and channelpartners.Participate and perform action items as a team member or lead projectsinvolving other engineers and cross-functional team membersProvide engineering support internally as required, including more complexsoftware/hardware test plan creation, test setups/troubleshooting,engineering documentation updates including BOMs, wiring diagrams,drawings, electrical schematics, training material, and creation ofmanuals for the customer.Provide application software support with Woodward GAP software and associatedoperator interface/HMI software to support test setups, debugrecommendations, and provide required application changes.
