Plan, schedule, andco-ordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in major projects. Manageprojects as per established 'Custom Fitting Product Development Process'in support of the 'Value Plastics Center'. Coordinate cross-functionalteam member activities to meet specified customer and corporate design,manufacturing and quality requirements. Create and maintain a positive workingrelationship with internal and OEM customers. Manage the activities andtimelines of new product projects within the guidelines of company policiesand product development procedures.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities* Plans, schedules and coordinates detailed phases of the engineeringwork; devise new approaches and performs work that includes a variety ofcomplex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability ofstandard materials, and difficult coordination requirements.* Design and develop innovative products from concept to production thatprovides sustained competitive advantage to Nordson MEDICAL.* Displays originality and judgment in the independent evaluation,selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standardtechniques, procedures and criteria.* Coordinates appropriate communications with Nordson MEDICAL customers tofacilitate transfer of customer requirements and project acceptance.* Combines broad knowledge of design skills, engineering principles,manufacturing techniques and analytical skills to create new products,and/or improvise existing products, which meet or exceed product requirements.* Refines technical data received from marketing .and. sales, customers andmanufacturing team members, conducts appropriate evaluation, and createsdetailed project scope, schedule, product specifications and risk analysisas per Nordson MEDICAL. New Product Development processes. Provides accurateand timely project status updates to appropriate Nordson MEDICAL personnel.* Directs efforts of Nordson MEDICAL. cross-functional team which isresponsible for all aspects of launching new projects from concept to volumeproduction. Coordinates regular status meetings with Nordson MEDICAL personnelas needed or requested.* Works on Technology development projects and at a minimum reports on thoseon a monthly basis.* Actively manages projects, works with the cross-functional team membersand with effective communication smoothly accomplishes all project activities.Maintain project schedules current.* Work with internal and external stakeholders to implement strategiesconsistent with NPD and organizational growth objectives and corecompetencies.* Develop detailed engineering drawings, fixtures and gages for new productsusing accepted Nordson MEDICAL. tools.* Utilize input from all departments from within Nordson MEDICAL in thecreation and implementation of Design FMEA, Design for Manufacture andAssembly (DFMA). Assist the manufacturing engineer in the creation ofProcess FMEA.* Creates appropriate project plan/documentation to adequately create aDesign History Record (DHR) of all projects within the guidelines ofNordson MEDICAL procedures and practices. Oversees the development andmaintenance of appropriate work instructions and ISO procedures.* Develop test protocols for internal or external use; design and build testequipment; and perform design validation resulting in products that meetscustomer, design and manufacturin
