WATER QUALITY GROUP
Danaher`s Water Quality Business is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Our water quality business provides products under a variety of brands, including HACH, ChemTreat, and Trojan Technologies.
The role of this position is to perform basic compliance related engineering test and evaluation activities to support development, sustaining and production activities with some supervision by a senior compliance member or program manager.
Essential Functions: * Generally executes compliance tasks or assignments provided by a senior compliance team member or program manager in terms of deadlines, and priority of assignments * The employee uses initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently without specific instruction, but refers deviations, problems, and unfamiliar situations not covered by instructions to the supervisor or senior compliance team member for decision or help. Finished work and methods used are reviewed for technically accuracy and compliance with instructions or established procedures * Setup and test products for compliance with regulatory standards (IEC/EN 61326-1, FCC part 15B, …) * Write compliance related test reports and manage documentation * Product submittals to certification /regulatory agencies (CE, FCC, NB, NRTL, NSF, CDRH, FDA, etc.) * Provides knowledge (depending on skills) in the compliance testing discipline to project or business engineers and managers. * May include a second shift work.
Other Non-Essential Functions: * Personal contacts are with individuals or groups from inside and outside the company in a moderately unstructured setting. The purpose is to obtain, clarify, or give facts or information regardless of the nature of those facts, i.e., the facts or information may range from easily understood to highly technical. * Product Safety tests and reports
* AS with minimum of 3-5 OJT at Compliance engineering experience (EMC), or BS with little (1-3 OJT) compliance experience * Has knowledge of commonly-used circuits, analysis and test measurement tools * Has knowledge of ISO quality systems (specifically Design Controls/Product Realization) and related requirements. * Demonstrated skill in the areas required to perform this job: o Electronic theory o Circuit analysis o Electronic test equipment o Communication and Presentation Skills o Product Safety knowledge will be beneficial.
