Oracle Principal Sales Consultant in Louisville, Colorado

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

The Oracle North American Technology team is looking for Solutions Engineers possessing deep technical skills in database security. The ideal candidates will have excellent customer-facing skills and a passion for educating, training, designing and building platform solutions for a diverse and challenging set of customer solutions.

In this role you will execute technical sales cycles with customers on Oracle Database Security options. As a trusted customer advocate, you will help organizations understand best practices for security to formulate the desired security posture. You will also work closely with several Oracle product teams to share customer feedback, help refine product evolution and user experience.

  • College degree in computer science (MS/BS in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline)

  • 6 years of hands-on experience architecting, designing, managing and deploying databases and applications

  • Oracle Database Administrator familiar with both development and operations tasks and responsibilities

  • Expert in using all capabilities of Oracle Database options for security including Advanced Security Option, Database Vault, Audit Vault and Database Firewall, Masking and subsetting, and Label Security

  • Expert in conducting proof of concepts with the Oracle Database options for security

  • Expert in using all capabilities of Oracle Enterprise Manager for databases

  • Practitioner of Oracle Cloud infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle DBaaS and Compute for deploying Oracle databases

  • Previously experience working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skill

  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation delivery

  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

  • Proven ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization

  • Demonstrated systematic troubleshooting methods

  • Understanding of data flows, data architecture, ETL and processing of structured and unstructured data

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing architecture, technical design and implementations, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery models

  • Practical knowledge of the end-to-end information technology (IT) process, including architecture, design & engineering, implementation, and operations in a secure development lifecycle waterfall, agile and continuous delivery model

  • Adeptness with information security standards (e.g., ISO 17799/27002, etc.), rules and regulations related to information security and data protection, and Cloud Security Alliance best practices and guidelines

  • Industry certifications include: IT security (e.g., CISSP) or Cloud Security-related certifications (e.g., CCSK, Certified Cloud Professional/Architect, etc.)

  • Familiarity with CCPA, GDPR, PCI, SOX and other compliance standards.

  • Strong ability to present complex concepts to management, team members, and non-technical audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to be a thought-leader in a team environment
