SUMMARY: The Inspection Supervisor is responsible for the supervision ofall aspects of inspection work flow (dimensional, visual andreceiving), calibration, , layout, and processes. The InspectionSupervisor is directly responsible for the day-to-day supervision of QualityInspector personnel including the assignment of work, and all resourcesassociated with the inspection function of associated programs.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Establishing priorities to maintain inspection schedules to support programmilestones and delivery requirementsResponsible for the organization, efficiency and cleanliness of theinspection and calibration area.Reviewing and ensuring that all documentation is the current releasedrevision; conduct audits on a regular basis to check procedure revisionsagainst current working proceduresSetting the vision for and applying continuous process improvement principlesto improve cycle-time, throughput and overall efficiency in the inspectionand calibrated equipment areasMaintaining policies, procedures and work instructions affecting theinspection departmentSupervisory role inspiring interactive team relationships within theinspection area and other departmentsADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Other duties as assigned including inspection activities and supportingprograms as a Quality Engineer as needed.COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for appropriate adherence to all SNC Policies, Procedures, andCompliance regulations (internal and external)Responsible for timely execution of all personnel-related activities such asTime Sheet completion, Performance Evaluations, Salary Reviews,Succession Planning, etc.Responsible for leadership oversight and for ensuring Department/Team trainingESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Minimum physical requirements to perform all duties and responsibilities, asdefined by managementNote: This position may be considered a safety-sensitive position dependingon business area requirements.SNC job descriptions are meant as summarizations only.
