Georgia- Pacific Embedded Electrical Engineer in Louisville, Colorado

DescriptionOnPoint is seeking an Embedded Electrical Engineer to join the hardwareproduct team at our facility in Louisville, Colorado. This team is workingto build state-of-the-art IoT embedded devices for monitoring and controllingindustrial systems. This role will support new product development and currentproduct production. The primary responsibilities will be leading theelectrical hardware design for our embedded products. This individual will beresponsible for concept design, board level component specification, boardlayouts, development, testing, product certification, and introductioninto production.You will be joining the ground level of a new team within alarge organization dedicated to developing IoT devices that drive the latesttechnologies in the industry.Our engineering team is focused on building products for customers withinexisting Koch product channels in order to enhance and transform industrialsensor architectures. This is a high-impact/high-visibility positionrequiring a holistic engineering approach, teamwork and outstandingcommunication skills. You should have a broad technical skillset with theability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders including multipleengineering disciplines, commercial/sales, manufacturing, and RandD.The successful candidate will work well in a collaborative and supportiveenvironment and will provide quality documented work. What You Will Do In YourAnalog Circuit Design (e.g. filters, isolation amplifiers, I/O circuitry)Digital Design (e.g. watchdogs, voltage monitoring)Power Electronics (e.g. power supplies, buck converters, switchingregulators, and batteries)Schematic capture, component selection, and PCB layout heavy emphasis onanalog designDesign EMC/EMI/RF compliance and applicable standards (radiofrequency,electromagnetic)Implement wireless communication hardware (wireless, Bluetooth, etc.)Prepare documentation and conduct system and circuit-level design reviewsProduce and evaluate concept designs using outlined design requirements whileassisting in the development of product design specificationsCommunicate effectively orally and in writing The Experience You Will BringRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree/work experienceExperience testing and debugging new and legacy designsExperience with signal generators, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzersfor board bring upExperience with schematic capture/PCB layout software (DX Designer,PADS, Altium, etc.) What Will Put You AheadMaster's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplineExperience in IoT Embedded System board development for industrial sensorsMixed-signal/analog design experience with at least 3 full-mask chips tape outProduct certification experience for hazardous locationsExperience with Optics or SpectroscopyKnowledge of industrial network protocols such as MODBUS, Profibus,EthernetIP, etc.Experience with CAD package such as AutoCAD or SolidWorksIndustrial controls or sensor designExperience with FPGA circuitry design, signal processing, and codingKnowledge of C code to assist in board bring up and testingSalary and Benefits Commensurate with Experience.This role is eligible for variable pay based on performance and other relatedfactors.
