Abusiness division of Danfoss, it develops and manufactures high-performancepower systems for heavy-duty vehicles, machines and marine vessels based onsynchronous reluctance assisted permanent magnet technology.We are growingfast globally and would like to invite you to join the award-winning team andto work on the technologies that will enable the world of tomorrow to do morewith less.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, thefollowing.Extensive work with the design engineering to apply DFA/DFM concepts forreduced cost and highest quality and participate in the DFMEA processStay abreast of latest winding, assembly and test equipment processes andtechnologyIdentify and manage outside resources for new equipment by creating clear andthorough SOWs constant support to meeting cost and timing goalsUse of lean manufacturing concepts to continuously optimize manufacturingprocesses for improved production flow, reduce costs, improve quality,and expanded capacity.Provide CAPEX estimates and justifications for manual vs. automatic equipmentselections and timingProvide production floor layouts using AutoCAD or other programs and identifyutility requirements for the new equipmentDeliver required manufacturing process flow charts, PFMEAs, control plansand detailed work instructions for new products/processesImplement systems to maintain traceability and error proofing of the productWork with current manufacturing teams for a smooth implementation of this newequipment in our global manufacturing locationsDesign fixtures and tooling for manufacturing processesEstablish packaging requirements for incoming and outgoing materialBackground and SkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering ispreferred;Industrial, Electrical, or similar engineering degrees will beconsidered.10+ years of experience in motor manufacturing is preferred.Experience with large electric motors and high voltage electrical testequipment.Six sigma lean manufacturing training and experience.Experience with the PPAP process for launches with new products and customers.Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complexproblems and determine root causes.Use of AutoCAD and NX or other CAD programs for layout and fixture designs.Strong interpersonal skills capable of working among many disciplines andcustomers.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain project plans.Danfoss - Engineering TomorrowAt Danfoss, we are engineering solutions that allow the world to useresources in smarter ways - driving the sustainable transformation oftomorrow.
