Baker Hughes Lead Process Improvement Specialist in LONGMONT, Colorado

Role Summary:

The Lead Process Improvement Specialist will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Lead Process Improvement Specialist, you will:

  • Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional team empowered to execute the Continuous Improvement strategy for process improvement, across the business including technology, engineering, cash, supply chain and services

  • Work as a x-functional agent, deliver breakthrough levels of improvement in process capability, simplification through completion of a training program on Lean Six Sigma philosophy, theory, and application tools / tactics

  • Facilitate, train, and coach team members in the use of continuous improvement tools

  • Work with operating leaders and teams to uncover and assess Lean Six Sigma opportunities for BH and its suppliers

  • In conjunction with the Master Black Belt and the Business Leader, serve as a change agent in institutionalizing

  • CI practices and tools

  • Constantly seek, share, and implement best practices

  • Apply CI tools to improve process capability and eliminate defects

  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams

  • Communicate teams' progress to Champions, Business Leaders, and Master Black Belts

  • Identify potential process improvement projects

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role in engineering, project management, operations

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma Methodology, Green Belt certification

  • Must obtain BH Lean Six Sigma Methodology, Black Belt certification

Desired Characteristics:

  • Excellent English knowledge is a must

  • Familiarity with BH Lean Six Sigma Methodology, Green Belt certification

  • Customer focus (internal and external)

  • Team player behavior, open minded and enthusiastic

  • Able to manage multiple tasks and establish effective work priorities

  • Willing to learn and implement new techniques, processes improvements and best practices

  • Able to confront and work in stressful environment
