Summary of Key Duties for this position:

•Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.

•Provide enhanced additive manufacturing support to a variety of clients including military space, NASA affiliated programs and commercial space, as well as various tooling groups.

•Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines which include both flight and non-flight components, assemblies, and tooling articles.

•Utilizes additive research to expand manufacturing production options and add new capabilities, machines and qualification methods to Lockheed Martin Space operations.

•Works with additive machine producers to create corrective action when necessary.

•Documentation of production hardware in additive manufacturing equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

•Strong background in additive manufacturing, including fused deposition modeling(FDM/FFF).

•3D modeling experience such as CREO, CATIA, Solidworks.

•Basic understanding of polymers and polymer applications.

Desired Skills:

• Bachelors degree in applicable field.

• Industry certification for polymer and metal additive.

• Topology Optimization.

• Siemens NX.

• Bluelight scanning.

• VE-CAMs/SAP experience.

• Experience operating Stratasys FDM machines.

• Experience operating electron beam powder bed machine.

• Experience in Aerospace or Defense industry.
