Lockheed Martin RF Systems Engineer in Littleton, Colorado

Description: The RF systems engineer will be part of a cross functional team working on a commercial communications satellite for mobile applications. The RF engineer will work with peers and more senior engineers on the system design, requirements generation, and review of testing data. Overall job responsibilities include:

• Supporting new business proposals in a system

design capacity

• Generating system analysis to meet performance


• Creating unit specifications based on analysis

• Presenting system performance in design reviews

• Reviewing all unit test data and determining

corrective action for non-compliances

• Generating testing requirements at the system level

• Reviewing system level test data and determining

correction action for non-compliances

• Summarizing systems test performance

• Customer engagement

• Design and process improvement initiatives

• Working with a team on solving complex problems

• Effective communication to team members and


• Innovating across satellite communications and RF


Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics,

or equivalent

• Familiarity with RF communication theory and

electrodynamics through either practice or education

• Experience as a team member working on a

technical project

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Programming experience through either practice or


Desired Skills:

• Experience performing RF systems analysis for:

linearity, noise figure, gain, phase, return loss,

ADC/DAC loading, spurious signals, system capacity,

and system availability

• Basic understanding of digital signal processing

• Experience with RF system design through either

practice or education

• Basic understanding of low noise amplifiers, mixers,

solid state or traveling wave tube amplifiers, and

microwave filters

• Experience generating RF unit specifications

• Experience reviewing test data for: AM/AM

conversion, frequency response, phase response,

linearity, noise figure, and spurious performance

• Experience presenting reports or analysis to a group

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel – experience writing

code in VBA
