3D Systems Quality Control/Inspection Technician - 180000R4 in Littleton, Colorado

The Quality Control/Inspection Technician is responsible and accountable forthe Company's quality performance. They will operate seamlessly within theorganization to drive results and establish a quality based culture. They willassist, execute, and promote all aspects of the Company's continuousimprovement journey to improve its products, services, and processes. Theywill work with the production team in manufacturing by performing QC tests,audits, perform part measurements, preparing documents and completingrecords for new and existing products. Products include 3D printers, stereolithography systems, selective laser sintering machines and all associatedmatePRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:Work with internal functional areas to measure and maintain qualityperformance, communicate issues or concerns, assist in resolving issuesand assist in achieving quality objectives Perform product quality audits andinspections of parts, incoming parts, finished goods, manufacturingoutput and in-process manufacturing activities. After completing theseactivities, update databases, create reports, implement improvements andtrain operators as necessary to resolve issues. Execute typical qualitysystems activities as directed by supervision including but not limited tocorrective actions, calibration, inspection and tests, non-conformingmaterials, audits, etc. Assist manufacturing team and engineering inresolving issues and eliminating defects in manufacturing, supply chain andwith customers Prepare reports, one point lessons, improvement plans,quality objectives, metrics, audits and communications to support qualityand operating excellence Perform containment activities such as sorting,inspections, etc. to assist in the resolution of quality issues Participatein continuous improvement events (kiazens) and lean manufacturingactivities such as 5S's, One Point Lessons, etc. Overtime includingweekends maEducation and Training:Technical degree preferredExperience:Experience running a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) preferredOne to two years of manufacturing or quality experienceISO 9000 or equivalent experience a plusKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
