IMI Precision Engineering Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator in Littleton, Colorado
This position is responsible for supporting the development of and implementation of a site wide health and safety culture. The HSE Coordinator will support in the development and implementation of strategies and policies as related to health, safety and environmental. This role provides professional guidance, support, and coaching to the organization on activities dictated by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and other local, state and federal agencies as well as corporate HSE directives.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Through knowledge of governed regulations, assist in the development, implementation and management programs and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable Corporate, Federal, State, and local HSE laws and regulations.
Identify training needs, develop and conduct safety training, including annual training required by corporate and regulatory agencies. Provide and maintain training documentation and certification required to meet safety regulations and compliance for all personnel.
Submit all required reports, applications, forms, licenses, and permits to local, state, and federal government, environmental agencies in a timely manner.
Investigate, evaluate, and document all work-related injuries and near miss incidents through root cause analysis to eliminate future injuries.
Participate and help lead the monthly safety committee meeting. Act as Champion in safety to improve HSE awareness and to develop a strong safety culture within the facility.
Monitoring regulatory changes to identify areas that may affect Company's operations or liability.
Educate, enforce, and interpret company policies and procedures related to HSE by daily inspecting of plant facilities, including manufacturing, office and exterior spaces and reporting any deficiencies to responsible parties directly and documenting each event.
Perform Job Hazard Analysis (Risk Assessments) on all processes; publish results at each process, and train line leads and supervisory staff to the inherent risk level for each process.
Perform ergonomic assessments on all processes, machines, and cells. Train line leads and supervisory staff on the process and risks.
Updating of corporate databases, posting of pertinent information at site level boards, and generating required reports from database to develop injury trend analysis and site heat maps.
Develop best practice reports to share with the all site groups other sites across the Americas.
Travel 3%-5% of time for Company business and be reachable after normal business hours in case of an emergency.
Acts as a liaison with outside organizations (e.g., fire & police departments, rescue teams, HAZ-MAT response, state police, etc.) to promote open communications, prepare response plans and to ensure comprehensive support in case of emergency.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent degree), preferably in Healthy and Safety or similar discipline.
A minimum of two years’ experience in a Health, Safety and Environmental role (experience working in manufacturing strongly preferred).

- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
OSHA 30 Hour General preferred
Hazardous Waste 40 Hour Certification preferred
