In addition,Michael Baker International is a recognized leader in the practical aspects ofoperating and maintaining a safe and efficient transportation infrastructure.DESCRIPTIONThe selected Structural/Bridge Technical Manager will perform technicaloversight, staff development, contract management, technical and costproposal development, project performance and client management for targetedstatewide and regional clients.* Collaborate with the national and regional Bridge Technical ServicesManagers, as well as structural engineering managers from other MichaelBaker offices around the country, and be part of a dynamic team responsiblefor expanding the structural engineering practice currently servicing state,county, and municipal clients.* On some days you will prepare technical and cost proposals to win work.* Some evenings will be spent at professional society meetings; where youwill work to develop and maintain relationships with key clients, teamingpartners, and potential technical staff hires.* On most days you will also manage structural engineering projects fortransportation or other clients.* Some days will require travel to project office locations in Utah and otherplaces to support Design-Build and other alternative delivery projects.PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS* You'll need a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, EngineeringManagement, or similar degree and 12+ years of bridge related designexperience. We would prefer if you have 5+ years of project managementexperience as well. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience withColorado DOT and Utah DOT design standards.* Manages 5-10 subordinate employees who may or may not manage other technicalstructural design staff.* You should have experience with road and/or rail bridge rehabilitationdesign, seismic analysis, and rating analysis. Experience with othertransportation/infrastructure agencies located in Colorado and/or Utah andthe Rocky Mountain west region is also desired. Specifically, projectmanagement experience with Colorado DOT and/or municipalities; experiencemanaging projects involving multiple disciplines such as roadway,drainage, geotechnical, environmental, etc.; and experiencesupervising the execution, financial performance, and quality assurance ofmultiple simultaneous projects is desired.* You will need a Colorado P.E. and S.E. or the ability to obtain within 6months. Having a PE or SE registration in other states, particularly Utah,is a plus.* To be successful, you'll need to be bright, organized, goaloriented, quality focused and determined; you'll also need to be able tobuild relationships with a wide variety of people. You will need excellenttime management skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize competingproject obligations.* Excellent English language skills, written and verbal, are essential tolong term success in this role.* You'll need to be able to quickly get up to speed on our policy,procedures and relevant software while acquiring an understanding of thecompany's service offerings, and the client standards relevant to yourprojects* Naturally, you'll need excellent compu
