Environmental Chemical Corp. Quality Control Manager in Lakewood, Colorado

Description ECC is looking for a Quality Control Manager - Fuels forproject sites in the US for liquid fuels maintenance (LFM) repairs toDepartment of Defense (DoD) Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricants (POL)facilities. This position may require travel up to 90% of the time toproject sites, depending on project location, many expected to be in themid-west. Due to travel requirements, the candidate may live in any USmainland area. In this position you will:Work on-site to take appropriate action to ensure that work is performed inaccordance with contract specifications, pertinent building codes .and.practices as well as national and local standardsEnsure the implementation of contract documents and plans, activelypromoting and supporting the quality control program at project sitesFacilitate quality training for project staff, subcontractors, and anyparties required to participate to ensure achievement of exceptional qualitystandards including developing training content and delivering courseinformatiEnsure the appropriate and required testing program is implemented;evaluate, review, monitor and document results Inspect and document thereceipt of all materials to ensure compliance with contract documentsFacilitate the submittal process, including materials, designs and plansEnsure that submittals meet the contract and project requirements and aresubmitted to the client as required and in a timely matterAuthor quality related documentation (reports, logs, and records),completing required information for daily reports and client communications ina timely and accurate mannerEnsure that all documentation is organized and uploaded to the project portalEnsure implementation of the Three-Phase Control Process in accordance withCompany standards and contract requirementsCollaborate with Project Managers to ensure that the Three-Phase Process isintegrated into project schedulesProvide oversight to subcontractors, clients, and project team members toensure that construction activities are completed according to design. Reportquality and safety incidents on the Company Incident Database Ensureimplementation and documentation of corrective actionsVerify implementation and close-out corrective actions Initiate stop work orre-work in coordination with the project team in circumstances wherenon-conformance to prescribed work methodologies occursProvide mentoring, direction, and subject matter expertise to QualityControl Supervisors and/or junior level staffAs requested, participate in employment interviews and make hiringrecommendationsAs needed, provide performance feedback regarding junior level staffIn addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities,tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of thispositionRequirements:The ability to communicate in written and oral formats with diplomacy and tactAn aptitude for exercising independent thinking and reasoningDemonstrated success in teaching others quality concepts and requirementsSuccessful leadership of subcontractors and project teams in support ofquality endeavorsCompetent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, and WindowsAttend professionally accredited QC management course (i.e. USACE or NAVFAC)Ability and willingness to travel in the US up 90% and potentially overseasto project sites on occasionA Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Sciences with a minimum of three(3) years construction QC experience OR high school diploma/GED and aminimum of eight (8) years construction experience as a Construction CQCOR experience as a Superintendent with a minimum of three (3) of thoseeight (8) years as a Construction CQC, Preferred qualifications:Previous success in working effectively in a dotted line reporting structureFamiliarity with workplace health and safety conceptsApplicable Certification in QualityProven ability to use USACE Resident Management System (RMS)OSHA 30 Hour Construction CertificationHAZWOPER 40 Hour Certification and 8 Hour Refre
