Manufacturing Ops AnalystDate: Jul 3, 2018Location:Lakewood, CO, US Company: Terumo BCT, Inc.Requisition ID: 17782JOB SUMMARYPerforms a broad range of tasks which may include research, analysis,planning, design, validation, implementation, maintenance, andtraining of manufacturing processes and systems.ESSENTIAL DUTIESOperates independently in various activities such as research,development, selection, and validation of process solutions while exertinginfluence on business objectives and long-range goals.Applies business and technical knowledge when working with both internal andexternal suppliers in activities such as identifying options, selection,analysis, design, installation, validation, maintenance, and test ofManufacturing Execution system solutions.Responsible for recommending, specifying, implementing, creating,maintaining, interpreting, improving, summarizing and reporting on theperformance indicators for the manufacturing area.Responsible for appropriate departmental documentation and maintainsinformation in appropriate systems.Responsible for communicating, training and assisting in the implementationof changes in Manufacturing Execution Systems internationally as required.Designs manufacturing methods such as electronic DHR's, bar coding, andelectronic documentation.Independently sets priorities and accomplishes objectives in the support ofmanufacturing operations through such activities as the planning and/orpurchase of raw materials, maintenance of raw material inventories andmonitoring of work in progress, management of finished goods inventories,and provision of ongoing and varied assistance to production work teams andshift leaders.Work involves the application of intermediate to advanced technical skills inone or more of the above areas of specialization and requires an ability tocoordinate activities across functional lines to ensure maintenance of optimalmanufacturing flow.Responsible for troubleshooting manufacturing systems, problem solving andresolution involving manufacturing process control, forecasting,scheduling conflicts/disruptions, raw material quality/shortages,finished goods stocking levels/obsolescence management, and similarsystemic and special cause problems.Compiles detailed information including routine analysis, to assist inforecasting, the assessment/control of manufacturing processes, andevaluation of vendor performance, etc.Actively participates in cost reduction programs and continuous improvementsefforts.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES24-hour on-call manufacturing system support.MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSEducationBachelor's degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.MBA is desirable.ExperienceMinimum 5 years experience.SAP Experience is highly desirable.Strong Manufacturing background desirable.SkillsDemonstrated expertise with Shop Floor Control Principles such as MRP,MRPII, JIT, and Demand Flow Technology.Demonstrated ability to analyze business/technical problems and select,design, and implement solutions in accordance to business needs.Demonstrated knowledge of FDA Regulations.Demonstrates effective leadership skills.Requires the ability to implement new technology to improve manufacturingprocesses.Understands the financial performance reports and their implications.Requires the ability to lead major projects.Demonstrated knowledge of information handling systems.Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use themeffectively.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.-Or-An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of thesequalifications may be considered.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsAn MBA and/or APICS certification is highly desirable.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSTypical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking,hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasionallifti
