Consider joining our team andunlock your potential.JOB TITLE: Engineer 2 - Design QualityJOB SUMMARYThis position represents the quality organization as an integral team memberon development projects for medical devices. The Design Quality Engineer(QE) ensures compliance to QMS and design control process and procedures.They ensure adherence to customer and regulatory requirements are demonstratedand help to ensure successful transfer of the design to manufacturing.Work requires independent evaluation, selection and application of standardengineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment andingenuity in making minor adaptations and modifications. Assignments includeequipment design and development, tests of materials, preparation ofspecifications, process study, research investigations, reportpreparation and other activities of limited scope. Duties are assigned toprovide experience and familiarization with engineering methods, independentthinking, and company practices and policies.ESSENTIAL DUTIESCollaborate closely with IandD PMO and project leads to bring products to marketEnsure compliance to QMS and design control processes and proceduresFacilitate and support risk management activities such as FMEA and riskmanagementContribute to the development and refinement of Design Control policies andprocedures to ensure they comply with appropriate standards, regulations,and industry best practiceWork in a cross-functional, collaborative, team-based environment;Anticipate roadblocks, provide direction for navigating the quality systemand supporting applications.Take an active role in Design Reviews to assess quality and complianceResponsible for accurate, independent evaluation of Design History Filedocumentation and overall compliance to the Quality System, Performindependent evaluation, selection, and application in making adaptationsand modifications to projectsEnsures that process and equipment designs are compliant with all Companypolicies and procedures as well as all Local, State, and Federaldirectives, laws and regulations.Provides work direction to engineering support staff.Takes initiative and demonstrates inquisitive approaches to solve moderatelycomplex problems, identifying problems, generating alternatives andrecommending solutions.Follows department processes and regularly makes recommendations on theseprocesses.Follows technical specification requirements, developing reports, chartsand graphs to support project recommendations and responds to questions fromtechnical staff members and management.Works cooperatively and effectively in a team environment or across teams toachieve common goals and results.Analyzes data and presents it in appropriate forums.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWork assignments may require additional development and a maturing orbroadening of in-depth...
