DescriptionJob Expectations:Provide consultation related to the merits of various project delivery methodsand support design-build procurement best practices as an advisor to ownersPrepare and make presentations to clients and for professional meetingsCollaborate and work directly with clients in planning, negotiating andexecuting design-build projectsCommunicate effectively and coordinate with multi-discipline project teamscomprised of client staff, technical resources, and subconsultantsIdentify and assess Owner Advisor opportunities and lead business developmentpursuits to win Owner Advisor projectsMake decisions and solve problemsPlan, develop, coordinate, and direct a number of projects or a projectof major scope. Maintain liaison with individuals outside the organization.Facilitate the work of a staff of engineers, designers and drafters.Develop and prepare procurement documents and coordinated associated technicalspecifications, reports, planning, and construction submittal reviews,calculations, models and other technical deliverables for to support theowner's procurement processDevelop evaluation criteria and methodologies to support owners' project andprocurement objectives while complying with local procurement policy,practice, and statute.Support development and communication of design-build issues best practicesvia participation in professional organizations and conferences and forinternal marketing and staff developmentPosition will require travel; potentially up to 50% of the timeDesired Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in related fieldMinimum 10years of progressively increasing responsibility with experiencerelated to design-build delivery, development, or owner advisory servicesrequiredStrong project management skills requiredSuccessful marketing, proposal writing, proposal management, and publicpresentations experience with emphasis on delivery-build and related projectdelivery methods requiredStrong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability toconduct effective presentations and written report preparation essentialAbility to work independently as well as in a team environment and the abilityto multi-task essentialExperience using Microsoft Office Suite essentialAbility to travel as neededValid driver's license and good driving recordFor more than 70 years, Brown and Caldwell has been creating leading-edgeenvironmental solutions for public agencies and private industry.
