DescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for a Building Information Modeling (BIM)Leader. BIM is the process of developing a 3D model with embedded engineeringdata and calculations, and BC is looking to develop a library with complexcomputational BIM components. You will partner with our BIM experts to buildout our computational 3D component library for water and wastewater treatmentplant design projects. The successful candidate will be skilled in BuildingInformation Modeling, particularly with Revit Family Creation, RevitTemplate Development, and Data Driven Design. An understanding ofprocess-driven design workflows (horizontal as opposed to verticalconstruction) and water and wastewater treatment plants is a plus. Thisposition can be located in our Denver, CO or Boise, ID office.Detailed Description:Train and support a team of content creatorsHelp define BIM strategy: data model, classification, nomenclature, etc.Create environmental engineering unit process components as a collection ofnested parametric families in RevitCreate template for typical Revit projectsBuild individual computational/parametric BIM components in RevitDesired Skills and Experience:Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering, Architecture (may besubstituted for industry design experience5+ years 3D industrial data-driven design experience, electrical orstructural strongly preferredAbility to help develop overall BIM content strategyExperience developing enterprise content and standards, Revit preferredGraphical Programming and/or Coding experience a plus but not requiredBig picture thinker, can envision how things play out across an enterpriseof 500+ BIM usersPassion for increasing efficiency in design production and solving complexproblemsQuick learner and adept problem solverExcellent communicator and solid interpersonal skillsAbility to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-pacedenvironmentFor more than 70 years, Brown and Caldwell has been creating leading-edgeenvironmental solutions for public agencies and private industry.
