Seaboard Foods Feed Mill Operator in Holyoke, Colorado

SUMMARY: Learns the flow of all materials, in-coming and out-going at themill. Assist all operators of different areas of the mill in housekeeping.Unloads bagged ingredients off trucks at warehouse and learns the paperworkand follows procedures established in the areas. This person must beproficient and willing to perform at least one operator position of the mill(scalehouse/receiving, control room, feed loadout), as well ashousekeeping, inventory control, and quality control. RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assignedat management's discretion. * Learn the material process flow, incoming and out-going. * Cross-train in other areas of production/maintenance at the mill. * Responsible for the cleanliness of all areas of the mill and thegrounds adjacent the plant. * Receive and account for bagged ingredients into the warehouse. * Prepare and process bagged ingredients for the control room operatorsto meet production requirements. * Process necessary paperwork and learn to account for items usingcomputer skills as needed and follow procedures established to insure propermaterial flow. * Understand and follow safety rules and be able to wear proper PPE. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee must frequently lift and/or move upto 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include closevision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to climb ladders,stairs and to properly wear personal protective equipment. Employee is exposedto both grain and protein dusts, and heights up to 200 feet. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, theemployee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weatherconditions. The employee is often exposed to wet and/or humid conditions andfumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: The hours and days of work are established bydepartmental needs and at the discretion of management. Must occasionally work weekends.
