Job description Arcadis is seeking a Task Manager with a background as a Geologist,Environmental Scientist, Civil Engineer or Environmental Engineer to supporta growing base of projects, location is flexible, preferably in the North EastThis is a position for a dynamic individual looking for career growth inenvironmental consulting and the Federal Market. This full time position isexpected to support environmental assessment, investigation, remediationand permitting projects, and will be working alongside and supporting avariety of project and clients.Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Assist Project and Associate Project Managers (PM/APM) withplanning environmental assessment, investigation and remediation tasks(Task Manager), * Lead environmental investigations and remediation projects to includedirecting the day-to-day activities of junior level staff; schedule andcoordinate task resources, and solicit guidance from senior level technicalstaff and PM/APM, * Evaluate historical and field data to (1) support conceptual sitemodels for environmental investigations, (2) delineate the nature andextent of contamination, and (3) modify and optimize post-remedylong-term-monitoring programs, * Lead (with PM/APM guidance) the development of CERCLA PreliminaryAssessments, Site Inspections, Remedial Investigations, FeasibilityStudies, Proposed Plans, Records of Decisions, and Remedial Designsand/or their RCRA or State equivalent; this includes the coordination ofteams for figure generation, data management, work plans, and/or otherrequired supporting documents, * Address client and regulatory comments on deliverables and to drive thestrategy in achieving comment resolution (with PM/APM guidance), * Daily financial monitoring and reporting to PM/APM, * Cost Estimating: prepare costs estimates to support establishingproject budgets and evaluating subcontractor proposals, * Preparing subcontracts (Federal and/or civilian) and coordinateall aspects of subcontractor tasks including schedule, logistics,health, and safety, * Ensure tasks are completed in accordance with all Federal, State,Local, and client specific health and safety requirements, * Periodically lead fieldwork which may include drilling oversight forsoil sampling and/or groundwater well installation, groundwatersampling, excavation oversight, operation and maintenance of remediationsystems, and vapor intrusion/soil gas surveys, * Environmental remediation design tasks, including soil andgroundwater remedial systems, This position may require up to 60% travel and maybe be in the field upto 10% of the time, depending on project staffing needs Required Qualifications * 3-6 years of relevant experience * Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology,Environmental Science or other related discipline * 40 Hour HAZWOPER * Previous experience with task management to include controllingscope, schedule, budget, and ensuring adherence to Health and SafetyRequirements; managing $50,000 net revenue * Previous experience working at DOD Facilities * Working familiarity with CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, or State levelregulated remediation (e.g., State Voluntary Remediation Programs) * Candidate should have sufficient experience with routine environmentaltasks (e.g., field sampling technologies and methods, labcoordination, supporting subcontractor oversight of utility clearance,surveyors, etc) to lead efforts and develop cost estimates forestablishing budgetary estimates * Previous sampling, analytical and data evaluation experience * Strong organization, written and verbal communication skills * Previous experience with subcontractor procurement and management(e.g., preparation of request for bids, preparation of scope of work,ensure work is completed in accordance with scope of work and H&Srequirements) * Candidate should be health and safety focused, and able to wo
