Summary of Duties:

The Electrical Production Supervisor (EPS) is an integral part of the offsite manufacturing team and is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, and controlling the day-to-day- execution of the electrical and controls scope of the offsite manufacturing process. The Electrical Production Supervisor is also responsible for the administration and control of all aspects of the RK Mission Critical site-specific electrical safety and compliance objectives. The EPS will provide comprehensive onsite practical and technical direction on the manufacturing and integration process and oversee the scheduling, coordination, and supervision of electrical crew activities. The Electrical Production Supervisor is accountable for maintaining the project schedule and the timely project completion within budget while cooperating with project management regarding electrical related matters concerning project budget, productivity, change orders, and customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure employee safety. Lead the one-a-day program to identify and eliminate hazards daily.

  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and systems to achieve zero defects.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by reducing lead times and providing high levels of OTD.

  • Continually identifying and eliminating waste from the manufacturing processes utilizing traditional lean concepts. Manage strict adherence to the electrical and overall budget

  • Conduct team resource planning, staffing, training, communication and performance management.

  • Champion an environment of collaboration and a focus on achieving results within the team.

  • Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist the team to solve operational issues

  • Motivate team members to achieve plan goals and customer satisfaction.

  • Devote majority of personal time ensuring quality craftsmanship on electrical specific system integration and manufacturing processes.

  • Plan specific electrical integration and assembly approaches and procedures.

  • Schedule and measure daily/weekly electrical activities for productivity and manpower utilization

  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with all customers, external and internal.

  • Assist the Project Manager preparing construction schedules, goals and objectives

  • Plan, organize and direct production in accordance with the contracted scope of work

  • Oversee electrical quality assurance and quality control programs

  • Coordinate with Purchasing to insure that requested material supports the schedule as needed

  • Ensure all installations meet quality and electrical code standards

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Active Journeyman's License with 10+ years of electrical construction experience

  • Experience in field and prefab, pre-assembly, modular or offsite manufacturing environments.

  • Intimate knowledge of low/medium voltage systems; working knowledge of high voltage systems

  • Must be a True Believer in Safety; OSHA 30 qualified.

  • Highly effective written and verbal interpersonal skills.

  • Effective as a leader of teams with formal supervisory authority.

  • Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate and manage others to achieve results.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.

  • Skilled in data analysis using MS Excel or other tools to measure and manage performance.

  • Prior knowledge or ability to learn, understand, and provide feedback on estimates

  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Working knowledge of IEEE and NEC codes

  • Experience in reviewing and doing constructability reviews of 3D models and shop drawings

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Active Master Electrician license with 10+ years’ experience

  • Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field or previous work as Licensed Electrician Supervisor

  • Experience with building automation and digital manufacturing technology

  • Lean, Six Sigma certification.

  • Exposure to Accubid


  • Responsible for ensuring employee safety while implementing the Company’s safe policy.

  • Electrical codes, means , and methods: Responsible for the safe construction, integration, and testing of electrical scope or services

  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures.

  • Implementation and compliance with all safety and health systems practices including the training requirements of RK Orientation, shop or site-specific orientation, CPR/First Aid/AED/Blood borne Pathogens, Hazard Identification and Reporting, and OSHA 30.

Minimum Physical Requirements:

  • Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.

  • Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.

  • Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.

  • Work in all types of weather.

  • Must have working knowledge of all electrical materials and tools.

  • Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
