Dewberry is currently seeking a Staff Engineer to join our growing Water Engineering practice within our Greenwood Village, CO office. Typical projects involve hydrologic and hydraulic modeling; data analysis, design and planning of local and regional stormwater facilities; flood resiliency studies; green infrastructure; floodplain management and drainage studies; masterplans.

  • Perform engineering calculations and produce engineering drawings on variety of water resources related projects

  • Perform field work whenever required

  • Perform Hydraulic & Hydrologic modeling

  • Assist in plan production, writing reports, and presentations. Assist in marketing and business development through high performance design and other related items

  • Plan and engineer municipal infrastructure

  • B.S. Degree or higher in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related Engineering field), with emphasis in stormwater conveyance or water resources

  • 3-5 years related experience

  • Prior experience with UDFCD manuals, design spreadsheets, and criterion is preferred

  • Knowledge/experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS and computer models such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CUHP

  • Professional Engineer or ability to obtain Professional Engineering license in 6 months to a year

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; and Proficiency in MS Office software

  • Valid driving license required
