Timeframe subject to change.Job DescriptionThe summer internship will provide an undergraduate or graduate student anopportunity to gain technical experience in the field of civil engineering.The intern will be exposed to a variety of civil engineering items includingstorm drainage, site, roadway and utility design.The position requires the collaboration with other disciplines, ability tointerface with clients and contractors, follow schedules and budgetcommitments, work independently, possess good written and oralcommunication skills and the ability to problem solve. Must meet expectationsfor attendance and punctuality.Required ExperienceKnowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D preferredMust be currently enrolled and entering junior year or higher of undergraduatedegree or currently enrolled in grad schoolMust be pursuing an engineering degree in Civil Engineering from an A.B.E.T.accredited programPrevious internship experience preferred.GPA of 3.0 or higher preferredPrevious internships in Civil Engineering are a plusStudents who have recently graduated will not be considered.Students actively pursuing a Civil Engineering degree with a Structuralemphasis will not be considered.Physical RequirementsThe job requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computerworkstation.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must bemet by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of thisjob.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilitiesto perform the essential functions.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment.
