DescriptionThe OpportunityUlteig is currently seeking talented and motivatedMechanical/ElectricalDesign Engineering candidates to support designrenewable projects nationwide.This role will be a strategic contributor to the growth of our RenewablesLifeline Sector.What You'll DoSpecification development for Solar PV design packages including solar arraylayouts, electrical one-lines, and equipment mounting details usingAutoCAD multi-megawatt sized commercial, and utility scale Solar PV systems.Drafts and reviews energy yield calculations using tools such as PVsyst andSAM.Use Excel spreadsheets and calculations to size Solar PV systems and puttogether detailed material lists.Lead site visits to gather notes and take pictures of existing conditions toaid in design.Review site visit details to determine interconnection requirements and PVsystem potential issues.Work with project teams to provide technical assistance and design servicesfor proposals including putting together Solar PV module layouts using AutoCADshowing module location, shading buffer, fencing, etc.Lead permitting process and Interconnection process.Serves as the engineering lead on solar-specific projects to include contractreview, progress tracking, and interdepartmental communications.Turning initial system conceptual ideas into fully developed firm EPC biddesigns.What We Expect from YouBachelor's degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering required,ABET accredited program or equivalent requiredEIT preferredMinimum 2 years of engineering experience in solar or collection systemsdesign requiredKnowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) a plusProficiency in Python a plusMust be analytical, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work inhigh-pressure situations while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitudeExcellent presentation and verbal/written communications skills*Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish andmaintain effective working relationships with staff, management, clientsand external agenciesExperience with AutoCAD a plusMust have permanent authorization to work in USWhat You Can Expect from UlteigFor 75 years, we've built a culture focused on people - both our clientsand our employees.
