Dewberry has an opportunity for a Civil CAD Designer to join ourCivil/Land Development Group in our Greenwood Village, CO office andparticipate on the Civil Design team working with engineers, projectmanagers, and other professionals. This position emphasizes design and plan set preparation of aresidential, multi-family, commercial, and mixed-use projects. Workactivities may include; grading, pipe networks, alignments,profiles, sections, and redline drafting for conceptual, preliminary,and final design drawings. RESPONSIBILITIES * Prepare base files, plan exhibits, construction documentation anddetailed design drawings for an array of land development and civilengineering projects. Provide drafting and design services by preparing andmaintaining AutoCAD 3D drawings that compile to create a set of permitableplan * Prepare designs from general instruction and preliminary sketches,diagrams or schematics. * Prepare working drawings from conceptual plans, to entitlementdocuments, planning documents, through final engineering constructiondocuments and construction record drawings. * Conduct QA/QC and constructability reviews of projects. * Coordinate with other team members including designers, engineers,managers, administrative staff and construction staff members. * Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of CADstandards across the Civil/Land Development Group. * Perform other duties as necessary. REQUIRED SKILLS & REQUIRED EXPERIENCE * High school diploma. * A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a CADD designer(AutoCAD Civil3D) with civil, land development emphasis. * Experience and demonstrated ability with current versions of AutoCADand using the Civil 3D package to create surfaces, alignments and profiles. * Willingness to assist with a wide range of projects and work withmultiple project managers. * Strong interest in all phases of Civil Engineering including landdevelopment, utilities, water resources, and construction. * High attention to detail, good organizational and time managementskills. * Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, * Ability to ask for additional direction and assistance when needed. *At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for workauthorization. *Dewberry is an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action Employer.
