Essential Functions:Accomplishes Team building goals by: communicating job expectations;planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counselingand disciplining employees; coordinating and enforcing policies andprocedures; maintains staff by assuring they are oriented and trainedappropriately; developing growth opportunities for direct report teamScheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing established goals;establishing priorities; monitoring progress; resolving problems;program planning; execute to set milestones and scheduling objectivesConduct annual employee performance reviewsEnsure improved employee engagement by providing consistent employee coachingand developmentUphold standards and specificationsLeads a Team in performing research, design and development of weldingmanufacturing processes including manual GTAW, GMAW, ERW, and roboticGMAW, ERWAdvises and authors welding inspection procedures; WPS, PQR, WPQ, etc.Supervises development and improves welding manufacturing processes andmethods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiencyPrepares and presents plans for welding manufacturing projects and coordinatedeployment, including selection and purchase and/or design ofmanufacturing equipment, floor plan layout, material flow, staffingrequirements, safety, productivity estimates, OSHA compliancePrepares and maintains detailed layouts of welding processes and equipmentEvaluates and interprets internal and external technical drawings andspecificationsPerforms welding manufacturing feasibility studiesLeads design and development of new welding technologies and/or products,including developing technical drawings, fabricating prototypes,coordinating projects with other departments; Engineering, Operations,Quality, Interface with Engineering Teams regarding schedules, productspecifications, engineering change proposals, product improvementsInterface with vendors and customers; including on-sight visits,evaluation, down-select, technical supportSupport bid and proposal preparation; scope of work, schedule, machineutilization, process time estimates, test reportsUphold standards and specificationsMust meet attendance requirementsOther Job Functions:Oversee creation and/or update of fixture drawings and other manufacturingdrawingsPerform interpretation, development, and maintenance of technical datapackagesTroubleshoot manufacturing processes to include root cause analysis andcorrective actionsEvaluate work instructions including process specifications, travelers,setup sheets, and other forms of process documentationCoordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised productsProvide interpretation of GD&TProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to travelBasic Qualifications:Must pass background check and appropriate drug testingEnglish proficiencyMust be 18 years of age5+ years' experience in a leadership role, management of 4+ staffBachelor's Degree in Engineering, or related scientific field, or 10years' experience in a leadership rolePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Welding Engineering10+ years' experience in a leadership role, management of 2+ staff5+ years' manufacturing experience in DoD, Aerospace, or Medicalindustries with a welding focusLevel II or higher NDT certification in DPI, MPI and RT2+ years' CAD/CAM programming experience
