Overview / ResponsibilitiesCompany has a career opportunity for aCertified Health Physicist to lead the Radiological Engineering group tosupport our expanding D&D operations in the US and internationally. The LeadRadiological Engineer (CHP) will be part of the operational team whichincludes Radiation Protection, Technology Deployment and Project Delivery tosupport decommissioning and other radiological work at reactors,government, and commercial sites. Additionally, they will work with theAdvanced Technology Group to provide health physics support and consultationas part of ongoing technology development.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical radiological expertise to customers, (both internal andexternal) with a focus on decontamination and decommissioning workDevelopment and implementation of Decommissioning Plans, RadiologicalCharacterization Plans, Radiological Work Plans and other D&Dimplementation documentsRadiological dose assessments, and development of ALARA programs to reducedosesDesign and implementation of MARSSIM Final Status Survey PlansDeveloping Quality Assurance Project Plans, following the DQO's processWork with the Advanced Technology Group, by providing health physicsexpertise to support the development of new technologyWork with Customers and Stakeholders to develop Site Specific DCGL's andclean up goalsMay supervise one or more technical personnel implementing D&D projectsEffectively communicate with customers, regulators, field technicians,and project management personnelLiaise with Project Delivery, Radiation Protection, and TechnologyDeployment Section staff to ensure that radiological D&D projects areproperly executedBased in Grand Junction CO and will travel to project sites in the US andinternationally - Approximately 30% overnight travelSkills / QualificationsBS/MS in Engineering or Science or equivalent in experience and educationCHP CertificationParticipation in professional organizations, including authoring andpresenting technical papers10+ Years of relevant decommissioning and remediation experienceMinimum of 5 years' experience working as a Radiological Engineer with afocus on decommissioning projects, and MARSSIMProficiency with radiological Software.
