Moog New Space produces aerospace hardware solutions, integrating vehicledesign, component design and engineering services for aerospace,scientific, commercial and military customers. We are an integrated businessthat supports our customers from proposal phase to ground testing, launchand on-orbit operations. We focus on fast product development and delivery toenable our customer's vision.Our New Space Group is looking for a self-directed Technician with anentrepreneurial mindset that is willing to take on a variety of roles andtasks to help our New Space business grow. The New Space Group has a start-upfeel, by design, and serves a unique group of new customers. We work onnew and emerging launch vehicles, spacecraft, and in-space vehicles indevelopment. This role is a bit of a departure from our typical technician jobdescriptions, this person would need to demonstrate skills in a differentenvironment where project sizes are on a smaller size and the overall lifecycle is shorter than some of the traditional Space projects.GENERAL FUNCTIONS:You will perform a wide variety of tasks operating in a team environment.General functions will include:Perform a variety of assembly and test tasks on production, development,prototype, and qualification hardwareIndividual and team growthFostering process and safety improvementsAandT and Engineering supportInternal and external customer supportTrainingCommitment to and support of company initiatives and objectivesEffective use of equipment and instrumentationBasic QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or formal training equivalency, plus 10 years of MoogAandT experience including at least 3 years at an H7 level or equivalent.orTwo year approved technical degree plus 5 years of AandT experience includingat least 2 years at an H7 level or equivalentorFour-year BT or BS technology degree plus 2 years of AandT experienceincluding at least 1 year at an H7 level or equivalent.Strong interpersonal skills and team-based skills are required.Ability to work directly from engineering drawings, sketches and verbalinstructionsThis position requires access to US Export Controlled InformationNATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:Utilization of effective assembly, test, inspection, diagnostic,troubleshooting skills, and problem solving.Promotes team consensus building in support of Teams' goalsProviding support for all aspects of the AandT process, includingmanufacturing, development, qualification, and deliveryProvides leadership for, and commitment to Moog initiativesEffective oral and written communication at all levels, internal to andoutside of MoogStrive to improve product quality, integrity, traceability and data recordsProactively, participates, supports and provides guidance in a team-basedenvironmentProvide job skills training to co-workersTechnical understanding of Moog hardware assemblies, AandT equipment,procedures, and methodsEngineering interface, support, and recommendationsImplementing and promoting lean concepts and activitiesInitiating process and safety improvement effortsPrepares electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and environmental test setupsConducts a wide variety of environmental and functional tests/measurementsfor production, new product evaluation, development, qualification andgeneral support of all corporate engineering and manufacturing departmentsPreparation of Assembly and Test Procedures, Test Logs, Data Sheets,Data Summaries, Test Reports, and other documentationDevelopment of fixturing, tooling and test equipmentEOE/AA Minority/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Female/Disability/VeteranEOE/AA Minority/Female/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Disability/Veteran
