Boston Government Services Geothermal Technical Project Monitor/Engineer in Golden, Colorado
This position is located in either Golden, CO or Washington, DCTheGeothermal Technical Project Monitor/Engineer will supportthe Departmentof Energy (DOE) office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy(EERE) in project management activities including, but not limited to,Funding Opportunity Announcements, project management and technical supportfor competitively-selected cooperative agreements.Position will directly support projects in the Geothermal Technologies Office(GTO) in scientific, engineering, and technical analyses. The positionwill primarily support GTO's Low Temperature and Coproduced Resourcesportfolio. This research focuses on improving the technologies and overallefficiency of low-temperature (below 300F) geothermal systems andexpanding their utility through demonstration opportunities-facilitatingnear-term development of innovative geothermal technologies in geographicallydiverse areas of the country. Expertise in geothermal energy systems, hybridenergy systems, and/or energy storage projects is strongly desired.Responsibilities:Provide project management, performance monitoring, documentation, andprogress assessment for GTO funded projects.Support the development, coordination, and management of competitivesolicitations and merit reviews.Engage with GTO stakeholders on an appropriate level to ensure needs and gapsare being addressed where possible at the Federal level.Assist in the development of internal briefing materials for decisionmakers, and contribute technical review of external communications.Successfully represent the program status to senior government officials,congressional stakeholders, academia, and industry partners.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering or Scientific discipline(Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Systems, etc.).> 5 years' experience.Professional attitude.Strong attention to detail.Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel,PowerPoint, AccessExcellent communication skills - verbal and written.Demonstrated independent problem-solving skills.Familiar with geothermal technologies.Preferred:Expertise in geothermal energy systems, hybrid energy systems, and/orenergy storage projects.Project management experience/PMP certification.Ability to actively track and monitor government-funded research anddevelopment projects.Experience working within DOE EERE.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Self-starter, an ability to work both independently and as part of a highlydynamic collaborative team.Ability to balance multiple long and short term projects and competingpriorities.Boston Government Services, LLC is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Actionemployer.
