Boston Government Services Building Technologies Technical Project Monitor/Engineer II in Golden, Colorado
Supports the Department of Energy (DOE) office of Energy Efficiency andRenewable Energy (EERE) in project management activities including, butnot limited to, Funding Opportunity Announcements, project management andtechnical support for competitively-selected cooperative agreements.Support involves day to day interactions with internal parties such aslegal, contracting, NEPA, and communications; as well as externalcommunication with project recipients in academia, private industry, andNational Laboratories.Position will directly support projects in the Building Technologies Office(BTO) in scientific, engineering, and technical analyses. The positionwill make recommendations and advises on system development, improvements,and optimization. Position requirements include:Provide project management, performance monitoring, documentation, andprogress assessment for BTO-funded energy efficiency projects.Support the development, coordination, and management of competitivesolicitations and merit reviews.Engage with BTO stakeholders on an appropriate level to ensure needs and gapsare being addressed where possible at the Federal level.Assist in the development of internal briefing materials for decisionmakers, and contribute technical review of external communications.Successfully represent the program status to senior government officials,congressional stakeholders, academia, and industry partners.Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in relevant Engineering or Scientific discipline5+ years experienceProfessional attitudeStrong attention to detailHighly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel,PowerPoint, AccessExcellent communication skills verbal and writtenDemonstrated independent problem-solving skillsFamiliar with energy efficiency and/or renewable technologiesPreferred:Experience working in crosscutting buildings technologies, including but notlimited to HVAC technologies, building automation systems (BAS),and/or grid-integrated building systemsProject management experience/PMP certificationAbility to actively track and monitor government funded research anddevelopment projectsExperience working within DOE EEREStrong analytical and problem solving skillsSelf-starter; an ability to work both independently and as part of a highlydynamic collaborative teamAbility to balance multiple long and short term projects and competingprioritiesBoston Government Services, LLC is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Actionemployer.
