Manpower Group Quality Inspector - Printed Circuit Board in Frederick, Colorado
Immediate Quality Inspector opening in Frederick, CO.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting and repairing printed circuit boards. Be able to solve practical problems. This position requires to be meticulous, detail oriented, possess keen visual acuity and knowledge of quality control, production processes and other techniques for maximizing and maintaining a high degree of quality. Approves in-process product and finished products. Documents inspection results. High attention to detail and high organizational skills are critical for this position.
General Responsibilities and Duties:
Work closely with Quality Manager to resolve quality issues;
Examine the circuit boards to detect defects such as shorts, excess or missing solder, scratches, cracks, and placement of components;
Maintain quality standards by approving material at final inspection for all products;
Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments;
Prepare Customer 1st article documentation prior to shipment;
Perform 1st piece inspections for Surface Mount and through hole assemblies;
Perform Final inspection;
Verify conformance to specified dimensions;
Record type and quantity of defects in data base;
Test continuity of circuit board circuits;
Ability to use essential tools and equipment;
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions;
Ability to read and interpret kit sheets, assembly drawings, product specific documentation and work instructions;
Must possess knowledge of a wide variety of thru-hole and surface mount parts with respect to polarity and component identification;
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Excellent follow-through and ability to meet deadlines;
Excellent verbal/written communication as well as organization/interpersonal skills
Strong understanding of electronic components, electronics design and manufacturing;
Strong understanding of production processes, equipment and tools associated with a printed circuit board;
Strong knowledge of bill of materials, assembly drawings, product specific documentation, work instructions, and other general documents;
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
Ability to keep accurate records;
Ability to read and learn Data Sheets;
Ability to maintain patience in challenging situations.
ED/High School diploma or higher,
5 to 10 years' experience in circuit board manufacturing,
PC-A- 610 or IPC J-STD-001.
