We are seeking a Quality Engineer to help us identify and drive quality improvement projects and philosophy through the company. This is a hands-on level position. The successful candidate will be able to:

What You Will Be Doing

-Train, educate, and promote the benefits of ISO and or IATF to production personnel through the use of process and ISO audits.

-Answer and close non-conformances generated during third party audits.

-Develop, execute, and analyze quality reporting measures and systems.

-Analyze data using statistical tools to identify opportunities to reduce internal scrap and quality defects.

-Interact with customers, sales and production to ensure that quality related issues have root-cause analysis and Corrective and Preventative Action experience.

-Lead quality and process improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma

-Perform tool and equipment calibrations, and ensure that calibration programs are accurate and up to date.

-Understand and conduct process or equipment capability studies, measurement system analysis, DOE and other quality tools.

-Identify technical problems and practical solutions appropriate to the size and complexity of projects

-Direct and coordinate activities concerned with the development, procurement, installation, use, and/or calibration of control devices for test, sample, and data collection systems

-Analyze and interpret test/sample data and provides usable technical reports of trends of potential quality issues

What You Need for this Position

At Least 1 Year of experience and knowledge of:

-BS in Metallurgy, Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering is preferred but not required.

-5+ years direct experience as a quality and/or process engineer in a manufacturing environment.

-Aluminum mill experience with writing and understanding internal practices is preferred by not required.

-Working knowledge roll mill equipment and annealing is preferred by not required.

-Field experience with RCS (Rigid Can Stock) and automotive products stamping is preferred by not required.

-Experience in heavy manufacturing industry highly desired.

-In depth knowledge of implementing statistical and process control tools into a production environment.

-Proven track record of successfully managing projects in an industrial environment.

-Six Sigma/Lean experience preferred.

-Previous ISO or IATF audit experience and lead auditor certification desired.

-Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures. Experience at writing new or revised procedures. High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization skills are necessary

-Strong interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills. Must be able to effectively present logical information in a structured fashion to different levels of the organization and customer base.
