HPE is seeking a highly motivated VLSI Engineering Intern to work in the Fort Collins, CO office. The VLSI physical design team is responsible for the definition, design, and implementation of HP's next generation ASICs. Our designs are built to meet timing, power, and manufacturability requirements. The team consists of persons strong in both automated and custom circuit design methodologies. We leverage industry standard tools and invent new methodologies to meet the pressing demands of today's cutting edge ASICs.
Co-op/interns participate on projects related to delivering HPE's next- generation high performance server products.
Under the guidance of a mentor, the candidate will use their knowledge and creativity to complete assignments within the existing team targeted at designing, debugging, and qualifying hardware; a great chance to gain industry experience.
Education and Experience:
Currently pursuing a BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Must have completed the second year of engineering studies, although the completion of third year is preferred.
Coursework in EE fundamentals, digital logic, computer architecture
Coursework or knowledge of a programming or scripting language in a UNIX environment
Coursework in VLSI design or VLSI concepts
Fluency in English along with strong verbal and written communication skills
Commitment, self-motivation, and the ability to work in a team oriented environment is essential
